Well why are you always moving so fast Through every day Why let anything pass Anyway One drunken morning I took a walk Through the crowded streets And traded in all of my time for goodness and beauty Well, the day was ending so I took a walk Wheelin` through town, past the trash and the rubble Put my faith in the poison, tighten the grip I`ll ride slower than ever, finally free Well, the empire of night Has left everyone And I was there for its arrival And now it`s gone Well the world is no more than a beach Made for two faithful kids Lying perfectly still With a burning sky above Well the sun came out so I let it in Ran from morning to morning, who knows how much time I’ve spent?
2.
We`ll fall together Or we`ll fall apart Yeah, I`m just a motion Getting lost in the dark Just like a drifter Without a home when morning comes Without a song to face the night I`m losing all my best colors Oh, could you see me through God is saying this to you, and it`s all too true, yeah you know Could you see me through? I am saying this to you and it`s all too real yeah you know With eyes like mirrors Laying cards in mid december Saying names just to be faithful Yeah, we`re doing what we can But I`m just an echo Moving through an empty land Carry the hollow sound of dying Carry the hollow

They offer us daylight, the sleeping parade And leave us when day comes, let us be by ourselves Come out of your apartment, and see where we`ll go With the whole city swaying, the earth has grown whole Waking up to see the face of dawn Waking up to see that night has gone home Well, everybody knows we`re the same The light that has come home, hangs over your head And your doorstep is welcome to anyone less We`ll sleep with salvation, and drink with the dead And in time all our senses will go back where they where Waking up to be the light of morning Waking up to see the light of love

Subterranean 03:57
Hidden in the blood is the gift he left us a long time ago Coming down from the mountain he was screaming with joy “there`s a will after all” This is the way it is, now is our time, you`ve got a fire burning in your eyes And the light from the sky, has got us moving all night to the rhythm of a hungry heart Fall into your seasick eyes Yeah, I hope we`ve been blessed by the sun Rolling through the thunderous city of night, yeah you were shaking like a leaf, but we were feeling alright Yeah, we`ve seen the eyes of ancient ones, naked and blue, we`re just bodies singing as we sway Every day as we both grow older, time turns our blood to dust Working on a hunger, yeah working on a thirst, could have the world if we wanted to
5.
Dreamt away a day half spent On being loud in bars and watching lights as they go out Never seen the sea of fire, but I’ll be glad to go Riding through the emptiness, I`ll follow you down Sweetness come home Falling light, crucified Stuck inside a dream Time has made us who we are I don’t want you disappearing And I might play the fool sometimes And it might be that I am But there’s a power in resistance Yeah, we`ll see it through this time
6.
Drag me out of my poverty, strip me of my skin Caught a fever that I’m still dragging on today Just like pieces just like Christ I’m still rolling trough the times Stepped outside into the world just to get away from the trip inside my head Wasn’t born to die like this Wasn’t born to die right here Out on a Sunday performing rites Trying to shield the evil from these eyes I’m just a bug head halfway insane Have felt the lord pink beam run through my veins
7.
The Light 03:26
Fell into a river and out of my bed last night Not much of a swimmer, and so I drowned in all it`s might shot through every ocean, thrown across the sky eyes impaled by devotion and filling up with light It`s going to take some time to get back to where we were When I was a painter, with my canvas all empty and clean and a flower on the top of my head yeah, I`d paint the world every day I was the creator exercising my right to be by filling time and space
8.
Blake 05:02
Well carry me home no more kings and no more masters You’re such a gift to every season You cry out, amongst the gold “hunger will always find you” Born into stone, you were too I`ve come to find peace in nothing Well, why would I speak in this voice If it didn’t have the strength? Every little thing that moves Well I know why you crawl around Every little thing that speaks Well I know why you say your words so softly Drown yourself in incense, drown yourself in wine But the light comes from you and I
9.
Wild 02:29
Stars were hanging from a heavy sky The lord has come home The moon was crying out tonight “the lord has come home” If what I see is that which is real, then I have come home
